Everything is open to us, all over the
world, providing that we want it. The finances restrict us, but
our imagination can create any place, any time, anywhere. Think it up, with references if
necessary, and put it down and it will take you there.
The holiday break can become easier to relive if, along with the trusted Kodak, your own scribbles are recorded. The seaside postcard cannot bring back the memories of looking about you and recording it. It is easier to buy the card but less intense on the emotions.
Up to now my interpretation of Travel has been a getting away from your home base, but as I haven't ventured far afield in the last few years, I keep myself up to the minute by visiting places in imagination. Very cheap and also a godsend when you can put the dustbins out on Tuesday. So no matter where there is to go, or things to do, I can do it. Join me there and I'll sharpen your pencil!.
Should you wish to get along to my part of
the world, check out St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall. I've had a few goes at drawing it and
sailing around it, and everytime the light changes, the tide
doesn't go out yet it comes back in again and it will be there
for as long as we want it. Whether it is in the sea or on your
wall, it is twentieth century or back in the annals of time, a
great place for letting your brain run riot, and your pencil have
full reign.
